I just got a Palit nvid GTS 250 1GB (about $120) runs AH maxed at HD (havent bothered with self shadow tho). mines the E-Green version, whatever that means. cheap, quiet and only requires 450W PSU :aok

I like that that site.  I usually use tomshardware, but it's much easier to get a general sense from that site - and then if you really want to know how an SLI/CF solution will place, you can look it up on Tomshardware.

yeah thats what I do, passmark is great for a quick comparison before working out which make to buy.

You will be limited your current power supply and the length of the "new card".  I doubt a 9800GTX+ would fit in that case.  Those are your two factors.
