This is about the only picture I have found of this squadron I can't tell if it is the plane your looking for but outside of the numbers I think they will all be about the same.
Plus some info on Mr Weatherup.

Here is the body of the left side.

As you can see I started the body's tail. I tried to get the checker-tail as close to accurate as possible.
I will begin the right side of the body now.

Please if I am doing something wrong may you please notify me of it.

I hope I am doing this correct so far... :uhoh

Thanks for viewing.

Topside of RightWing.

Don't mind the star not on the body, i hid that layer on accident. Didn't realize that it wasn't there when I took the snapshot.

When you do those squares.... Make sure you're anti-aliasing them. If you're using a lasso or polygon select make sure the options include aliasing. Otherwise you see the jaggies like on your last picture.

I was actually using the pencil tool, as you said in your tutorial, I used the Shift+Right Click and just zoomed in a bit and made sure the lines were straight. After that I would fill it in with paint bucket tool. The checker-tail is in a different layer if I need to adjust it at all, am I doing it wrong or something?

The pencil tool was suggested for panel lines. When doing actual coloring and markings you want to alias it.

Panel lines you could go either way aliased or unaliased. For the actual skinning/markings that those panels go over, you want it to be aliased. You want it to look good.
