Simple tweeks to make the DA better

The DA is awesome for some great action and a short flight. It allows for the repetition required to get better. The DA is not perfect so i propose a few tweeks that would be simple and take no more than 10 minutes from an administrator to make the experience twice as fun. 1st I would like to see bombers able to take off from the furball fields with ordinance disabled so that bomber pilots can practice their gunnery and fighter pilots can perfect their escorting. I know we all love the feeling of lining up on a bandit fixated on a friendly bomber and unleashing the furry. Having all these bombers floating around the furball presents the issue of being bingo ammo after obliterating your first set of buffs, so i suggest having an ammo multiplier of 3 or 4 conservatively. The ammo multiplier will allow us to stay in the combat area longer which allows that much need repetition in order to get better. I know these changes will make the DA much more exciting. I hope my wishes will be considered.  :salute

Actually, isn't that why there's a Training Arena?

Big -1 for the ammo multiplier - learn to conserve ammo.
You can fly from the bomber fields, and others can fly from one of the private fields nearby if you really need to see someone get shot down.

Flying bombers from the other fields take forever. If they fly from furball fields they wont get higher than 8k before they're intercepted. we'll experience the offensive side of bombers

Really? I can't imagine why there are different areas set aside for different purposes in the DA.


If you really want to "experience the offensive side of bombers, go to one of the late war arenas and grab a Bf110G or P38 with drop tanks and climb to 25k then loiter over a field being attacked by a horde. If the attacking side wants the field, you will get your bombers.

I think they should institute a perk point system in the DA like in the MA.

I get tired of getting picked by temps all day.

+1 for small bombers in the DA, Ie Ju-87, D3A so on and so fourth,
-1for ammo, I have really never found running out of ammo a problem in the DA,
and im on the fence about perkies, I would say yes introduce perks, but at a set rate, ie every perk plane costs 15 or 20 perks, that way you can still practice with them, but not lose 40+ perks at a time

Nope.  I don't want to have to use MA perks (or build DA perks) just to fly around and duel with friends.  Take furball lake and give them their own arena complete with perks, and make the DA what it should be - a place to up any plane you want and duel with friends.

Nothing wrong with the bomber idea. Flying what ever you please in the DA should be free will on all types. A temp has long been known in the DA and never seems to leave only because theirs too many who like its abilities in action (Outrunning).

A bomber should be allowed as it does nothing to punch up fun, the only problem would be getting off the ground first lol. but add a few more miles between bases and all should go well, in fact players may even start to fight in a more tactical way Rather than just zoom bang booom and push luck all the way.

Had that once...then they changed it!! To many people were boosting there perk score. :O
