dot target
« on: September 25, 2010, 09:26:43 AM »
ok......last night, i was using the dot target command off line, to check something dichotomy and myself were talking about with convergence.

mostly, that with the ava style fighting, it may serve well to pull convergence in tighter.

i fly the pee40 with the guns set to 400, and the pee38 set to 650.

so i upped a pee40 offline, set the target at different distances, fired at different areas for each distance, and noted the patterns. what i wanted to do, was to post some of the results in the forums....but the target doesn't show up in the film viewer.....and that is where i get all of the screen shots i post.

how do i make the target show up? or how do i get screenies of it, to post?

thanks!!

The data for the target must not be recorded in the .ahf file. I guess you'll have to take a screenshot (<Alt> S) while in the game.

You'll find the screenshots as .bmps in your AH directory.

They are stored in the folder "Aces High" in the Hitech Creations folder (directory). They are .bmp image files, so open them in Paint. You can then crop them and save them as .jpg in any folder you want or create in your PC.

I usually just take screenshots with the "Print Screen" key and then paste them into paint.

No digging around looking for where they were saved.

Same as online - cycle through <Alt> i

(Jimsom: Print Screen limits you to a single screenshot that you have to paste into Paint to save. You can continue to take as many screenshots as you like using the AH screenshot (<Alt> s) without having to exit or go to desktop after every shot.)

Cap the other thing you can do is use the "print screen" key on keyboard, then tab out to desktop. Open your fav graphic program, edit, paste, hey presto you have a screen shot ready to crop, resize, and save.
