Wow, I would have thought this would have been plastered all over the news.....  :pray

I guess he didn't do enough drugs and skip probation or have a recent DUI or somethin for the younger folks to even know who he was... what a loss.

You need to see "Captain Newman" where Tony Curtis plays support for Gregory Peck.

He was also a WWII vet wounded at Guam. Studied acting under the GI bill.

<S> T.C.

Like the WWII vets more and more stars of the classic golden age of Hollywood are leaving us.
Damn shame most of those movies and their stars make most of todays movies and our current stars seem amateurish by comparison

He was a great actor. Some Like It Hot, Operation Petticoat, The Great Race and The Defiant Ones are some of my favorite films. <S>
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

He had his problems yet he still remained one of the last "gentlemen" and WW2 vets on the screen. The current crop of celluloid fodder is seriously lacking IMO.

RIP Tony. May your buddies from the past welcome you home.
