Graphics problem with V1/03
« on: June 23, 2000, 09:11:00 AM »
Sunsets look great, but I get a linear separation of the colors, not a smooth transition like , say, Falcon 4 sunsets.

I have a Ultra TNT2 32 meg card, running 1024 res with 16bit color.

Anyone have a link for the latest drivers?

Same here if I have 16 bit on. Go to 32bit and everything blends and it's beautiful. You lose that "sheeting" appearance. I have a Diamond Viper V770 TNT2  Ultra, 32mb btw.
I'm away till Sunday night but I've used the same drivers since I bought the card last November, I'd switched from the Diamond drivers that came on the CDRom, didn't notice any difference so I just left them ion place. I think they are the Nvidia reference drivers. The older ones. I'll check when I get home and post the version and even email them to you if you end up wanting them. Unless by then you end up resolving this anyway.

Thanks Westy, I haven't tried 32 bit since V.94 because of 'bugs' with the 32 bit.  I'll get it another try.

My current drivers are those of which you speak of off the CD.

Same "effect" here. 32bpp doesn't help, color separation is absolutely evident. This is not a driver related problem.
Anyway, if you want the latest drivers, go to www.reactorcritical.com  and download Detonator 5.30.

I have the same card that Westy has, and also find that 32 bit blends better than 16.

Good to hear!
I just checked. I've got the Diamond Drivers
that came on the cdrom with the card. Ver: 4.11.01.0402 (English)
