It's the mid-war arena and most fights are on the deck and no real hords, makes for good fights
True, but for me its been hit and miss with Mid-War. Sometimes I will go in there and find a great fight (4-5 vs 4-5) but others Ill go in only to find porkers who just suicide bomb the fields.

Kind of cheesy don't you think?  It's the mid-war arena and most fights are on the deck and no real hords, makes for good fights.  If you wanted to make some point you could have shown how the guy that got #1 did so by manipulating the score system while the guy that got #2 did so by just flying how he normally does without having to resort to any dubious game play.

Definitely cheesy, but, the point stands.  Even in midwar you have to fly smart to do well.  Flying smart, which seems to be synonymous with flying timid, is preached against often by some.

Point made, congratulations sent, that is all.   :)

Which is one of the most dominant, if not most dominant planes in Mid War, when all things are considered.  Ever wonder why the P-38 experts frequent Mid War so much?  Mystery solved.  It's kinda funny too b/c they are the ones that are so vocal about the "late war uber rides" in LW, then they go into MW and "fly smart" in the MW uber rides beating up the lesser planes.  Double standard?  Nah, couldn't be.

P38J and Spit 9 own Mid-War.

I used them to get number 1 fighter in Midwar a few tours ago :D

Spitfire Mk IX and Spitfire Mk VIII are the two dominant planes in the mid-war, at least those are the two best fighters in that arena.  Nice try though, please play again.

First, I said "one" of the most dominant.

Second, the Spit 8 is perked, is it not? Doesn't count.  Even still the 38 is still faster below 5k.  I'll admit it will out climb the 38 so those perks will buy you something.

Third, Spit 9 is slower than the 38 below 5k and climb rates are almost identical.  If you let a Spit driver dominate you in ur 38 that's nobody's fault but your own.

My point is, it's nothing to thump your chest about.  Which, granted, Shuffler wasn't, Uptown was doing it for him.

You play again.   :aok

First, I said "one" of the most dominant.

By looking at the actual numbers of the last two tour, one have to define "one of the most" quite broadly ;)

Neither in usage as well as K/D are anywhere near dominant or spectacular. (rank #8 and #9 in last tour)

Just because a bunch of noobs don't choose them in the hanger and the ones that do don't know how to fly them doesn't mean that they aren't competitive planes.  This is one case where statistics break down.   Just look at the charts.  They can hold their own with the others in MW easily.

However, if you guys insist that spit drivers are so much better than vet 38 drivers, okay, okay, okay.  Granted.
