TD that asus board has a known issue my guess is the Nvidia Chipset
the P5NT-Deluxe 780i has issues to i understand.

i've has MSI, shuttle, gigabyte,  boards to the same when i was working doing mass builds for schools and goverment contracts

my roommate runs a P5Q Pro board with a 6850 C2D never had a issue
i run a M4A785-M with a X3 720 both are rock solid

some people just have better luck with certian brands I guess

some like ATI while others like Nvidia ( both claim that their brand/version is better )

some people like INTEL while others like AMD ( both claim that their brand/version is better )

some people like MAC while others like windows ( both claim that their brand/version is better )

some people like Sateik while others like CH Products ( both claim that their brand/version is better )

some people like Windows XP while others like Windows 7 64 bit ( both claim that their brand/version is better )

some people like Western Digital while others like Hitachi Hard Drives  ( both claim that their brand/version is better )

some people like ASUS while others like MSI ( both claim that their brand/version is better )

what really matters is that the person putting it all together knows what the hell they are doing and know how to get the best performance out of what they build......

i agree another thing is to do your research on the board you want. if you see alot of people saying it has a lot of failure rates dont use it or take your chances. but i guarentee theres not a motherboard that hasn't failed somewhere. and it may not even be the manufactures fault, bad power, lightning, etc could also be causes.

Go X 58 chipset, i7 cpu.

I use Gigabyte UD3 series board.

My ASUS P5K-E hasn't failed yet, nor has ANYTHING on this PC I built.     Also, you're TheZohan.   You've slipped up a few times.

i'm the who? first off i am not isreali, and i don't like hummus on everything. and if i was thezohan why do i get my bellybutton kicked flying. thezohan would never get killed as much as i do.
