Puffy Ack around Cities and Strats
« on: October 15, 2010, 03:37:27 PM »
Just an idea I had the other day (and i'm not sure if the programming would allow it) but what are thoughts on having the puffy ack above the strats and cities able to injure friendly fighters as well as enemy.  In real life there was risk of friendly fighters being hit by friendly fire from AAA.  Not saying that ack should be aimed at friendlies but if a fighter was to stray too close to a buff that was being fired upon it could risk being hit by flak.

This could make someone think twice about upping that 163 to defend their strats.

Thoughts?

You must not try to fly CAP over friendly task groups. I have lost flaps, fuel tanks, elevators and have caught fire from multiple hits. Most of these while attacking buffs, of course the auto puffy missed and hit me instead. Assuming you've never had friendly auto ack at the air field hit you instead of a enemy tank near by also.

It's already working that way.

I'm not talking about CV puffy ack.

Lusche:  So if i'm defending my own strats from enemy buffs, I can be hit from my own ack?  I did not realize this.  Cool!

Yes. If you're lucky, you will hear only a "clang". On a bad day, you can say goodbye to your Me 262 and 200 perks. Been there... ;)

Thanks for the information, Lusche.

Well I guess this can come off of my wishlist.
