Halloween is coming!
« on: October 16, 2010, 10:44:24 AM »

A man is walking home alone late one foggy night...
when behind him he hears:

Bump...

BUMP...

BUMP...

Walking faster, he looks back and through the fog he makes out the image of an
upright casket banging its way down the middle of the street toward him.  :x

BUMP...

BUMP...

BUMP...

Terrified, the man begins to run toward his home, the casket bouncing quickly
behind him.  :x

FASTER...

FASTER...

BUMP...

BUMP...

BUMP...

He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in,
slams and locks the door behind him. :x

However, the casket crashes through his door, with the lid of the casket
clapping. :x

clappity-BUMP...

clappity-BUMP...

clappity-BUMP...

on his heels, the terrified man runs. :x

Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, the man locks himself in. His heart
is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps. :x

With a loud CRASH the casket breaks down the door. :x

Bumping and clapping toward him. :x

The man screams and reaches for something, anything, but all he can find is a
bottle of cough syrup! :x

Desperate, he throws the cough syrup at the casket... :x

and,

(hopefully you're ready for this!)

The coffin stops.   :neener:
For most people the sky is the limit.  For a pilot the sky is home.

I love this time of year, if only because of the ridiculous crap you can tell people and they will take it all in stride. Like I've been known to tell people at the Fort that the fraise we have all the way around the outside of the wall at about head level (long horizontal wooden spikes that slope downward and come to a rather sharp point) were to keep out the vampires. And about half of them think I'm being serious until I tell them what it was really for. Those people scare me.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

The Seniors at our school a few years back told all the Freshies (this was before my time) that there was a pool on the roof of the school. 1 out of 10 kids came to school with bathing suits in 50 degree weather.  :lol You gotta love Autumn.
