A lot of people new to the game look through a few books and see the pics of the P-40s on CVs in the Med or the P-47s on CVs in the Pacific and make the same mistake. Their enthusiasim to add an idea or participate towards improving the game gets the better of them. If Air Warrior Warbirds or Aces High had been available in the 50s 60s and 70s a lot of us old farts would have made some of the same mistakes. Since we didn't have computer sims to fly and fight the planes on, we built models of them and read books about them. I know when somebody comes up with an idea like this it may be tempting to flame them but understand they didn't have to wait a couple of decades wishing they could fly these aircraft in a sim. The sim was here and their interest really didn't start until they found the sim. So they don't have years of reading on the subject behind them and they're going to make bad assumptions until they do. You guys could cut them a little bit of slack.
