Need help, cant open AH screenshots in photoshop 5.5. I get a error that reads "Could not open the document because the file-format module cannot parse the file"
What gives? I can open any other .bmp file on my hd, just not ah screen .bmps.

rosco, open them in ms paint. do a "select all". then "copy", then "paste' into photoshop. something about the color depth or type of .bmp file that photoshop does not recognize.

or open them in paint, click a single 'dot' somewhere unambiguous, and save, then photoshop should open them right up.

Hmm tried that but the edit menu is grayed out in photoshop, including the paste command. Ctrl p doesnt work either. Gona give gimp a try. Alls I want to do is shrink em down some for web posting. 3mb is a tad to large.

Freeware, opens EVERYTHING, easy to learn, full featured. Quickest way I've ever seen to open screenshots, select, crop, save.
