I believe the point is there are a lot of people that would pay rather than do it themselves. I am still working on my P-51 pit (for FSX) but I can tell you that $4000 wont get you past the instrument panel.

Yeah but that is different Chalenge. Most people will not put the work into it that you have either and for what that one I mentioned appears to be its not different than popping some pipe fittings for tubing together with a drill and screws and you are done. The difference is $3k+ is outrageous for that type of work.

Of course I have to agree however I could not ever work with pipes as well as I do with wood. I could probably redesign that setup in wood and produce the entire thing with seat and sound for less than $1000. Of course if that particular seat goes for $1500 that would have a severe effect on pricing but according to Corbeau its not that much!

From that link you get the Corbeau Forza seat and mounts for less than $300 and built out of tubing with mounts for HOTAS, monitor, etc...that setup can be done for less than $800 including paint and shipping. Of course that is just rough pricing and since it is only cutting and no welds involved it keeps the cost way down. I might have to look into this type of side work now.
