Worst of all... it's slower.

It's slower, crashes more, has no native DOS support, dial up connections slower, no major improvements over 98, and puts even more money into M$ coffers.

Tried it. Lots of dumps to desktop within AH.

Figured it was my TNT2 M64 driver (WinME installed by itself some reference driver). The latest ref driver from NVidia at the time (6.18) didn't improve things. Creative Labs doesn't have a driver for WinME. And my Win98-stable driver (Detonator 2 v5.22) dates before the release of WinME.

I decided to come back to Win98.

Besides, I got one blue screen of death and one freeze in less than 5 hours.

I'd wait for the unavoidable Service Pack.

Nope. Not anymore... I Lost 3-d yesterday   and some of my hardware were having problems with "M-Edit."

I just kicked "M-edition" out of my pc and installed back W2k.
If you got 98 stay in it or if you dont use USB flight-stuff a W2k could be nice.

Win ME hate TNT cards   and the swap disk sux big time  90% of lock up come from virtual memory the other 10% around  DX svitches when diferent games use diferent color deep seting

all other problems like IE or netscape are linked to the Swapdisk problem , browsers use intense swap

It crashed, it was slower, it runs this thing in task scheduler called PChealth monitor for gathering "information" which it stores in a temp folder.  You can temporarily disable this EVERY time you start the computer, but to permanently get rid of it i had to regedit which is ridiculous.  Not to mention i don't trust what "information" they are gathering and how it is used.  Every time my girlfriend got near the computer it crashed.  went back to win98 SE and all is well.  Ah works without crashes again etc.  so my advice is don't use it.
