What processes needed in Windows 2000?
« on: July 03, 2000, 01:26:00 PM »
I just installed Win2k and so far AH plays okay. But I'm wondering if I'm running too many background apps. In Win98 I usually only ran explorer and systray, and end-tasked everything else. What can I safely do away with in Win2k to keep other programs from stealing CPU cycles from AH?

By increasing the priority of the AH process to very high, performance improves slightly, and the occasional "hiccups" due to background apps are diminished.
