Explorer Question + another one
« on: October 23, 2010, 10:11:37 PM »
The other day my laptop messed up after a windows "upgrade".  I had to do a system restore, and when I did, it wiped out a bunch of stuff it shouldn't have.  Anyway, question:
I'm trying to relocate my favorites on my Explorer list.  When I hit the "add to favorites" button, it now adds two urls - one that works and one that doesn't.  Is there something that I need to change in settings or somewhere?  If you know the anser to this, let me know, please.

While I'm on this forum, a second question.  Although its not supposed to, the system restore wiped out a lot of my personal files - docs, pics, contacts, etc.  They are no longer listed in the library, or anywhere else that I can find.  I thought they were gone.  BUT, on my 'recent" list, the files that I had opened recently before the "upgrade" are still listed, as well as their contents.  Under properties,it says something about being in a "found" folder somewhere.  This leads me to hope that my files might still be on the HD somewhere, but where?  I've looked everywhere I can think of, even tried under DOS prompt (but couldn't remember many of those commands . . . )  Any idea on where my files might be - or if they're really still there or not?

Thanks for your help!

To find your files, start, search, files or folders - found, and start.

Cant help ya with the adding 2 fav's - but your favorites are found under documents and settings under your username.
