do you mean:
- realistic clouds
- sky colouring
- environmentals such as rain, snow, turbulance, wind gusts, admin programmable cloud cover etc...
Clouds are fine.  I avoid them however since fighting in them sucks.  Sky coloring is great.  I love colors.
However, sunrise and sunset suck for fighting.  I tend to not play if I log on and it is either of those two times of day.  Rain?  I hate driving cars in rain and I imagine easily that I would not enjoy flying in rain either.  I hated the rain in IL2.  Generally speaking if the weather would keep an airforce grounded in real life then I rather think gaming in the same conditions that grounded planes in the 1940s probably arent much fun to game in either.

Not to sound like a drag but if I were HTC I would just go clear blue sky and keep the sun at high noon.  Them's the best fighting conditions.

If they are working on more varied weather conditions that's great, there's a difference between what can be done with the game engine and arena settings and what we'll actually see in the MA's.

Bad weather in the MA's would be a drag once the novelty wore off (kind of like night time), however I would also say that weather would be a key component to special events.  For example it would kill immersion for me to run a scenario based on the Aleutian campaign under sunny skies.

i would love to see realistic or at least better sound fx. I know we can dowload and update player made sound packs but htc has done a awesome job with the graphics of this game and playability but the sound just seems so late 80s lol.

If they are working on more varied whether conditions that's great, there's a difference between what can be done with the game engine and arena settings and what we'll actually see in the MA's.

Bad whether in the MA's would be a drag once the novelty wore off (kind of like night time), however I would also say that whether would be a key component to special events.  For example it would kill immersion for me to run a scenario based on the Aleutian campaign under sunny skies.

Tacking on to Soulyss's and Yeager's points: I think it would be a drag to try and dogfight in dawn/dusk, night or bad weather, unless there was some incentive to do it.  Maybe these things could be incorporated to a judicious degree and if HTC provided some incentives to keep playing in that environment, it would actually spice up the game.

For instance, maybe some coad could be created that ties earned mission or perk points for attack or bombing runs while the bad weather or low lighting is occuring.  Meaning, if you used the low-light or bad(-ish) weather to mask your attack or bomb run, for example, you would earn double points, precisely because it was harder to do.  Then, in order to counter that and create balance, fighter kills, particularly against or during said attacks under those conditions would earn pilots double perks/points too.

Thus, the prospect of earning more points and perks might keep players in-game during those periods, and maybe add some variety to the noonday/bluesky norm.

Anyway, just a thought; maybe it's not practical to implement or would degrade gameplay.  Perhaps it could be tried in a testbed arena to see if it would work out.

So far it was mentioned in the Con that drunks will get an update which I suppose means both a graphical and character animation update.

Was anything else mentioned?

Are more of the existing planes going to be converted to AH2 standards?

How about the previous planes (prior to the new Mosquito) that were updated only to the 1024 texture size will also be updated to take advantage of the 2048 textures for cockpit interiors?

Any updates regarding the proposed H2H rooms?

Will the P-38H be in the next update?

Will Mensa finally find a date for the homecoming dance?

Where's Del to remind folks of the epic frame in DGS where cloud cover over the primary and secondary targets forced the bombers to a third target and kept the 38s escorting in the air forever, landing with less then 10 gallons of fuel.

Weather sure made a difference that day :)

Not sure how it would make a difference in the MA other then to create more whining however.

Now about that Beaufighter... :)

Please fix whatever the general problem is with vox. I am not the only one that has this problem. No transmit, broken transmission, poor quality etc.
