Which Celeron?
« on: July 05, 2000, 05:57:00 AM »
My 300a is getting a bit worn after running at 450mhz since I bought it looong ago. So I am upgrading, and it is either the 566 or the 600mhz. Reason for this: I got a Abit BX6 rev 2 motherboard and can only afford upgrading the cpu, and it currently supports 566 and 600 celerons.

Now, I hear stories about the 566 being overclockable almost as much as the 300a. Is this true? And how overclockable is the 600. Also, I have a slot 370 now (I think), so I will need a converter slot thingie. Am told this is very doable. Right or wrong?

My current rig:

c300a @ 450mhz
Abit BX6 rev 2 motherboard
128 mb 100 mhz ram
Geforce SDR 32mb graphics card
yaddayaddayadda

Thanks for any advise
