Lessee..

Director: " I need another person walking in this scene.. find me a woman.. portly.."

Asst. Director:  "All our extras are men.. with long sideburns!"

Director:  "Well, dress them up and tell them to cover their sideburn with their hand"

Asst. Director:  "How do you want them to cross?"

Director:  "It's a silent movie, just talk to them while they're moving.. nobody'll hear it!"

....

Actor:  "You want me to stop here?"

...

and so on..

K I'll believe she travel back in time and since she's talking on the phone, then there were two people who went back. But I wonder where they put the big cell tower needed for the cell phone?

If that was a time traveler talking into some sort of cell phone, he/she is certainly not being very inconspicuous about it. I always thought there was some sort of unwritten code among time travelers to be as discreet as possible and blend in with the era. You'd think people in 1928 would have noticed a large, manly woman on the street jabbering away into a black rectangle and called (from a phone booth  :old:) for the local paddy wagon service.
"Lord, let us feel pity for Private Jenkins, and sorrow for ourselves, and all the angel warriors that fall. Let us fear death, but let it not live within us. Protect us, O Lord, and be merciful unto us. Amen"-from FALLEN ANGELS by Walter Dean Myers

Its Somethink that no more exist cause no one Make it anymore on this Planet its a Hat collar.
We think its a Phone cause we See this hand position every day on the Streets I called them Radicontroled Humans.
She ore He Holds a collar that you have to pull out of the hat its for Windy days
Why did he ore she that? Chaplin saved Money and nerves by using always a small numbers of Comparse in many scene same Comparse crossing the Camera sometimes with hat sometimes without so we think many people walk around
