And there was a quote my friends father alwas said. He was a Submariner.

_____________________________ ______________
There are more airplanes in the bottom of the ocean
then there are Subs.

_____________________________ ______________
Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

"Infantry must move forward to close with the enemy. It must shoot in order to move…. To halt under fire is folly. To halt under fire and not fire back is suicide. Officers must set the example"
- General George Patton Jr

"There's a great deal of talk about loyalty from the bottom to the top. Loyalty from the top down is even more necessary and is much less prevalent. One of the most frequently noted characteristics of great men who have remained great is loyalty to their subordinates."
- General George S. Patton, Jr

"A pint of sweat will save a gallon of blood."
- General George S. Patton, Jr

"All glory is fleeting."
- General George S. Patton, Jr

"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived."
- General George S. Patton, Jr

There is only one tactical principle which is not subject to change. It is to use the means at hand to inflict the maximum amount of wound, death, and destruction on the enemy in the minimum amount of time."
- General George Patton Jr

“ No captain can do very wrong if he places his ship alongside that of the enemy” - Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson of the Royal Navy, who defeated the French and Spanish fleet at Trafalgar in 1805 and was killed during that engagement.

I dont think this is a exact quote, but I remember reading that during Iraqi Freedom, I guess the Iraqi's were bragging about a GPS Jammer that they were using. A reporter asked a general (or someone high ranked) about it, and he told the reporter that they took outthe GPS Jammer with a GPS weapon.

"Then we will fight in the shade"
the response of a Spartan soldier named Dienekes or Dieneces, who fought at the Battle of Thermopylae, when told that the Persians archers were so numerous that their arrows would block out the sun.
