Host Connection lost
« on: November 02, 2010, 05:54:27 PM »
This does not happen to me very often.
I hope Titanic Tuesday was OK fot the majority but I tried it four or five times and lasted about 3 or 4 minutes each time before losing the connection.

Running ping plotter did not reveal much except sometimes flaky connections a couple of hops near the end.

Will try again another night and hope this is not going to be a regular occurance.

Just to update.

After giving up trying to fly in Titanic Tuesday, I went to the on line training arena to see how long it would be before losing the connection. Strange thing was, I did not lose it at all and messed around in there for an hour before quiting normally.

Could be resource issues.  Just a guess as I would need to see a Ping Plotter output to see if it was network related.

Resource issues are easy to trace, if that is indeed the cause.  A DXDIAG output, along with your in-game settings (video settings, options->graphic detail->advanced).

Must have been an isolated problem that one night. I have been on tonight in the Orange LW no problems for a couple of hours before logging.

Not really.  World Series lag.  Wait until the Super Bowl.  Lag will be redefined.  Streaming video is going to kill the Internet.
