Sirs:

Im wondering what is the best program to be used for Voice Coms.  Its it Roger Wilco?

If So, What Version works best?

Do the Newer and Older Versions work together?

Anyone using something else?

Any Tips on Setting it up?

Boy lots of questions  :D

Grimm, in this topic is the only version of Roger Wilco you would want use. It's the latest without the Gator spyware:

Installing and setting up RW is a snap and a breeze. RW walks you thru every step. You will need a full duplex soundcard and a microphone.

NOTE!  Be sure to set RW to use WAV recording.  If you set it to use Direct Sound recording with DX8 installed, it WILL cause you problems.

My squad recently switched to teamsound. www.teamsound.com

It has much better quality of sound and doesn't cause us to crash all the time like RW did.

You have to search a bit for it, but the best voice comms bar none is Battlecom. We've been using it for about 2 years now. It's crystal clear and has no problems with crashes, etc. It's the precursor to Teamzound, but for some reason we had all sorts of problems with Teamsound, while BC worked great.

We used to use Battlecomm ourselves but found problems that someof the guys couldn't get it to run at all.  Same with RW.  Gamevoice, that program that used to be called Battlecomm till evil bill got aholdof it, just plain suxors IMO.

A few of my Squadies gave TeamSound a try last night. It worked really well.  I was impressed.

Anyone else using this??

Have it.
Can not get it to work.   :(
Roger Wilco works JUST FINE!  Although I like Version 1C better than all the extra crap that 1D carries.
As for the Gator problem...you can tell it not to install by rejecting the Gator Terms of Agreement.
