On this Veteran's Day, to all my fellow Vets, to all who are currently serving, a hearty THANK YOU!    We who are AvA enthusiasts, enjoy a historical recreation of how it was back in the day, minus the sacrifice and loss.

thank-you thank-you. today, my city gives me free parking downtown too because I have vet plates.

Cept of course my free parking is useless on a day when parking is free to EVERYONE.

Attended a parade, waved to friends, and bowed to the unfortunate new people I consider heros who didn't come back from the 'Stan.  One was a family friend.

Mucho props to all Vets.

I came of age just after the Carter administration, not much motivation to be in the military then.

By the time I matured enough to want to serve, I was too old.

So I'll just those who did.

I joined during the Carter administration 1978. It was Clinton where I had to call it quits.
