Ya the withdrawls are a biznitch but I can live with them.  I have an oral fixation.  I've quit Ambien, Xanax, and other prescription drugs and dealt with the side effects but nothing I have tried satisfies me like I big dip of Skoal or Red Seal.  Non tobacco chews just don't have the right consistency / taste to satisfy that urge.

I may have to try the E-sig and see if that's a viable alternative.

I love hearing the good and bad stories from people, even opinions from non smokers that like to flame :}

I had or my wife had my 3rd kid on Monday and i could spend the whole time in hospital vaping i never had to go outside, i showed or was asked by doctors and many nurses what the ecig was and they were all amazed none told me i cant do it once i explained what it was, the thing that throw them was it doesn't smell at all and no second hand smoke. everyone in the hospital thought it was the best thing they had seen for smokers or people tiring to give up.

In Australia we are always around 3 decades behind euro and the US with many things, e-cigs here are no different, where ever i go people ask what it is, only a few have said they have heard about them but they don't know anything about them.

If i can by a 4 story house buy the sea with a deep boat access and a few people can give up real smokes then its all good  

I just paid a guy to make me a cool little app that can ad up how much people save by the hour and also how many smokes they have avoided, it can be used as a signature or on html pages, but i have a question about the aces forum, when i add it as a signature is very small is this just the setting of the aces forum? (see my sig on the forum the little white box)
It seems fine on other forums but not aces.

Anyone know why it would be so small? also as you can see its nearly finished needs a few bugs fixed like decimal places.

They've been out in California for about a year now, if they're a fad they might be one that sticks for a while.  They seem to work really well, people can imediatley transition from smoking tabacco to then picking one of these things up and completely cutting out their tabacco intake from that point forward.  My only concern with them is that people are simply replacing one nicotene delivery "device" for another, and not really kicking the habit or trimming down their daily nicotene intake... and nicotene is bad.

Best of luck with them down under, seems the strongest sales pitch and how "they became known about" out here so fast was they were being pedled by salesmen/women to smokers in the middle of busy non-smoking environments, like in the middle of indoor malls.  I think they bought jumbo-packs of disposable mouthpiece covers made for hookas, and just slipped on a clean one, passed it to someone for a couple puffs and talked to them about the product, then found a new potential customer, put on a new disposable cover for them and let them drag on it a few times while pitching the product to them.

That is true, but the addiction to nicotine combined with the puffing habit is extremely difficult to break. Unlike other NRT's this device helps to satisfy both.

One can transition to lower nicotine levels until no nicotine at all, then tackle the puffing habit.

Considering that the worse thing about tobacco cigarettes is the carcinogens from combustion it is a safer nicotine delivery device, with no smell, ash or butts to dispose of, even as just a replacement it is still better for all.

As they are becoming more popular, and the refills are being sold more commonly at local gas station corner stores, I am noticing this too.  They're kinda snowballing here in popularity the past few months here, customers selling the product to other smokers/potential-customers, they're giving away the device but selling things you need for them and still making a good profit (IE: car chargers, flavored-refills, etc.).  I see a potential risk though with their use rising amongst the younger people out there.  In the last couple months I've seen a shift from the thirty and late-twentys crowd as a quiting assistant to it being more popular and "cool" amongst the "tweens", If I hit the clubs on the weekend with some friends, I'll see a dozen of the younger kids with them now.  Which means it won't be long until some 15-yo comes home from school with one of these things and we have their mommy flipping out the next day to the media.
