Plane Skin Download Request

I wish we had the ability to download entire folders of specific planes.

Example:

-Currently we have the auto download feature for plane skins in game which takes quite a bit of time to grab them all on a slow connection.

-Currently we can only download 1 plane skin at a time from the "Aces High Skins" section on the main website.

My Wish:

-The ability to download all of a specific aircraft's skin collection, A folder at a time if you will.

Would cut down a lot of time trying to download them all so why not allow us to download specific folders that we would prefer to get instead of doing them 1 at a time?

The folder thing might be a problem.... Only because in your Skins folder it doesn't work that way.

And not to be a downer but if you go to the main page, you can always d'L all the skins in one session......  Not that that's a fix to your request.

I'm +1 for anything to make it easier....  Perhaps somebody should .zip them all and post them somewhere.... Easy fix.

two choices:

1.- login then go to work/school/sleep and leave computer on.  will cause eny to go up, but hey you wont be playing anyway  .  come back all skins are downloaded.

2.- if you use firefox get the downthemall addon.  it will download all the skins in about 20 to 30 min (it took mine 15). just make sure you set it up to download files with .res only or it will d/l everything in ah website and I mean everything, pictures, game, lol.  if you use IE then they probably have an addon that does the same thing.

then only install in game the skins you want.  me i have all the skins downloaded, but disabled.  you cant really see the markins unless you are close anyway, but will enable them for when I am making films.  there's a total of 740 skins.  it can slow down some computers, really good.

You can do this in any arena, including the TA.  So, you don't need to struggle to get into a full arena to auto-download skins.
 

This has actually been addressed by Skuzzy, I believe, somewhere, as a negative.
