Having the H8K2 'Emily', PBY-5 Catalina and Sunderland Mk III available at the ports would be a nice feature.

not needed anymore.  you can see the round traces from the ship's guns from a million miles away.  they make a nice "here's the ship" sign.  as for using them to sink cv's, well look at the thread of complaining about ack being too accurate.  they wont survive.

I have no idea what you are babbling about.  What does having those aircraft at the ports have to do with round traces from the fleets?

The H8K2, for example, would act as a fine heavy bomber in AH, having nothing to do with fleets of any kind.

we talking about spotter planes and some bombers to sink cv's right?  because i see few people to none upping a "heavy bomber" (h8k2) from a port to bomb another base.  perhaps a near vh, but to bomb another base?, it only carries either two torpedoes or 1 1k bomb. and if my research is correct only 112 were built.

so most likely it is not a "fine" heavy bomber.

H8K2's loadout options were eight 250kg bombs or two 1600kg bombs or two torpedoes.

Well protected with five 20mm cannons and three 7.7mm machine guns.

Not many, but they saw far heavier use than quite a few aircraft already in Aces High, such as the Ar234, C.205, F4U-1C, F4U-4, Me163, Me262, P-47M and Ta152.
