  TD was my first CO In JG3 UDet, he was a firm CO and but I learned a lot while flying in his squad. He always had a great group of guys in his
squad and we always had a good time killing red things. I remember a 110 mission and we were all following TDs lead 110, he picked a route over some mountains
that the 110s could not quite make it over. I believe almost every 110 followed his 110 right into the side of the mountain. We all had a good laugh over that.
