I think the large maps are toast any time of day. Unless you have critical mass they spread the fights out too much and encourage things like base rolling in remote areas and milk running. Having a smaller map makes all players more aware of what is going on.

Untrue.  It means that a handful of people won't move the map during the day when they can work "unopposed" (at least as compared to primetime).   As this was a big bone of contention in "that other WWII MMORG", I think it will help increase satisfaction levels here with those that play the "war" part of the game - even during US primetime.

Oh, by the way Dedalos, do you still think HTC just doesn't care? {grin}

We'll see how it works out, I can't wait, but the devil is always in the details, etc., etc. (IE: a concern I personaly have is with a mix of the old experience (I couldn't login most weeknights until after 9pm my time due to caps) and HT's given example is that the prospect of being booted at 10pm (my time) seems most unpleasant).

Looks very promising though once ironed out, and I think it's brilliant and very promising to be finally trying something new/different to improve the current capping situation.

As a bomber pilot who finds himself often on flights that take up to 2 hours I would hope that we get some sort of warning so we can return to base and land...

Never mind....

I just read on the base thread that it will give warnings...

Well, my original concept called for automated warnings and scheduled times.
But if Skuzzy will do that manually...   :uhoh

But seriously, in order to get people to accept this rather harsh cut every day, it will be very important to get a very reliable schedule.

It would suck upping buffs because you think you still have one hour to go, just to read "Arena will close in 10 minutes, this will be only warning" - Same as deciding not to fly another sortie because you anticipate the reset in the next few minutes... and then it's delayed by an hour or two. ;)

I for one am quite curios if and how this will work out.  :)

lol, right.  To answer your question, yes.  To the point were he made fun of people - should i say customers - for asking for changes.  Then, he makes a change lol.  I think it is great for the Euro time players but as far as I can tell, there is not change for the US guys.  No matter what you said up there, nothing changed for us.

Can the boot and revert back to 1 arena happen a bit later on Friday and Saturday night?  Maybe 2 am EST.
