Last night I finally got a squadie to come check out AvA we started out axis in my beloved K4. Instantly I knew something was up there was a large freindly group ahead of us very high. Tried to see what they were doing on country chat and cox no response. After looking at the roster and how lopsided it was we bailed and went russian (even though I wanted to fly 109's). We climbed to 10k and went to meet the large axis force. Found them about half way out still several thousand feet above us. About five of them took turns diving on us untill we were dead. There were a few furballs that were fun last night. But I would say 4 out of 6 flights I ended up fighting 3v1 or more. Even if only 1 out of 5 are engaging if the other four keep buzzing the fight it's hard to keep up with which one you are fighting it's still a 5v1. (last night they were all shooting). And as far as a large axis squad goes that great but others want to fly axis to if every time I come in and it's 8 axis vs a few allied that's no fun. I switched sides and flew planes I didn't like last night but I don't want to every night.
P.S. I thought Rammey was trying to play nice last night. He was on the allied side and it was axis that ho'ed and gang banged me all night. Just sayin.....
rammey is actually pretty cool, when the others aren't on.
as for the hi alt axis force. i think bug and shifty tend to like to fly high sometimes....although i've found more than my fair share of deaths at their hands down in the trees.
something else i've noticed, is that if you dodge them enough, they eventually stay lower with ya.
they're doing squad type ops. if there's no opposing squads, then when there's enough of us on, we need to try to fly more cohesively(i think that's the right word?) against them. i don't think they're out to ruin the atmosphere here, but rather they are trying to add another layer of immersion.
