Teamspeak Connection Problem
« on: November 08, 2010, 12:51:34 PM »
I've been using Teamspeak for nearly two years without a hiccup.  Then, after working fine one evening, it won't connect to the server the next day.  I've uninstalled, downloaded the latest version, and checked for firewall/anti-virus blocks with no luck getting connected. Any suggestions?

I got issues as well. I have to log into Ventrillo key up my mic, then log into TS key up my mic and then shut down vent. if i dont do it in this order my mic wont transmit in anyform, push to talk, open mic or voice activation.  :huh

What does Ventrillo have to do with it?  Teamspeak should operate independently.  I used Ventrillo but, canned it because of severe lag problems in the voice playback.

I would try connecting to several different servers to see if the problem is related to just your familiar server, or to your Internet pathway to it, etc. Have you tried that?

No, I haven't.  How do I find different servers to connect with?  Thanks for the reply!   :salute

Nothing at all and I agree they should be completely separate, I'm afraid to delete ventrillo fearing I may lose TS all together or will be forced to reinstall vent wich is not a big deal to do, but it's a sleeping dog...I don't understand how they share an application but they do somehow.

on another note when I try to dump TS and reinstall it, it retains my server data so I'm assuming that is the reason it retains the problem I have as well.

I'm seeing the same issue when I uninstall and reinstall TS.  I'm sure there is a way to dig down deep in the computer somewhere but, I'm not savy enough to figure it out.  Does anyone out there know how?  Thanks in advance!  :aok

Download the latest version of the Teamspeak 3 client and install it. After you are done, go to Settings>Setup Wizard. Go thru the setup and rebind your Push to talk key of your choosing. After you are done it will be all set.

This was a known bug in the last version of the TS3 client and has been corrected with the latest version.
