Spurriphoon.

Spit+Hurri+Typhoon

I definitely see fuselage structure similar to Hurri in there... :noid

Zack,

I think this calls for a pie chart  :O  Okay, Lusche  chime in anytime.

According to these 2 charts blue and orange arenas were not as popular as you might have thought  ;)

By the way, "originally" there were no split arenas / caps.  So...   :old:    the best of both worlds here.   Continued kudos to Lusche and HTC staff.

All pie chart jokes aside I'm not to happy at 'player power' moving hitechs decisions, as the players needs are based on a narrow point of view ie 'what I wants' and that is not whats good for everyone as a whole. Its been proved in the past players know squat about what they really want.

I doubt the changes were made due to players complaining. HTC has NEVER bowed down to players complaints. I'm sure he has been watching his numbers closely and then began studying this suggestion from Lusche. In all the years I've been here, nothing about Hitech strikes me as a "shoot from the hip" type of guy. Look at the date on the thread where the caps discussion was. It wouldn't surprise me if HT was crunching numbers about the times and arenas since then.

Things have not changed in anyway, when ever a player makes a suggestion that I like and can implement, we implement it.

Long before luche posted his idea, we had considered changing to a system where at change time everyone would be ejected, and hence arenas would balance quickly and also allow that changes when the arena was more populated. We decided at that time that players would not like being ejected.

Luche came up with a new idea of to keep the arenas in the same state, and hence have continuity. I liked the idea when I read it and decided to implement it then. It just took time to finish the other priorities before we could implement it.

Personaly, I LOVE the change.
I thought caps were lame when they were put at 1pm and you had to go to a dead arena.

I think most of the whines are coming from the guys that want to continue winning the war and get ejected during the middle of it. Either case, take it as a good thing that when it comes back, you can start at the point where you left off. This is a good thing for this crowd b/c now you toned down the late night base flogging in hopes that the fatherland will fight on during prime time hours to win the war.
