CH HOTAS not recognized in Win2k
« on: November 06, 2001, 07:01:00 PM »
Hey guys

Today I just installed Win2k SP2 on my machine, my only remaining problem is that it won't seem to recognize my CH setup.

I have a CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, and Pro Pedals, all connected to my SB Live Gameport.

In device manager, the gameport is recognized and reported to be working correctly. When I go to Control Panel, Game controlers, I try to add my stick. Either the CH Fighterstick (after adding the CH joystick drivers) or either a 3-axis, 4 button generic, it says its adding new software and that I need to reboot to finish the installation.

After reboot, the joystick is not in the game controller.  If I try to add again, its just a circular process.

Any ideas? And no I'm not going out and buying all new USB stuff.

Verm, I have the exact same setup as you running win2K SP2. I had to name mine a generic 3 axis 4 button stick but win2K recognized it fine. Couple of things.. Are you using speedkeys to setup macro's in your stick/throttle? Also, you do have the 4 in 1 drivers installed? to be honest I dont know if the 4 in 1's would help this matter but maybe...

If you are using speedkeys, try clearing the memory on the stick and throttle by holding all three parallel button on the fron t of the throttle during reboot, and then try to setup the stick in windows.

Hope this helps
