For the G940 Guys
« on: November 30, 2010, 02:01:02 AM »
I do love my new flight controller and I know I am going over stuff that has probably been talked about before, but there are 5 trim wheels on the G940. How do you G940 users utilise the trim wheels in AH2 and how do you map them? I have half figured out a use for the surplus hat switches.

I mapped elevator trim and zoom to the throttle. The joystick trims aren't as easy to reach in  flight so I set 1 to RPM and the other 2 to aileron and rudder trim. The internal cable for the throttle is a little short so if you find R1 and R2 start to move when the throttle moves there's a fix for that. Just take the bottom plate off the throttle and give the cable as much slack as you can. Be sure to map the pinky switch on the stick as a shift button to add "up" to the hat views or if you don't want to be able to shift all your buttons just map it to KP5 for up.

Another thing you can do with an extra button or hat is set KP8. Keypad 8 is an alternate forward view. You can set it to see all your instruments or set it to look higher over your nose for those hard to see turning shots.
