Anyone think it went a little 'Lord of the rings'?

An amulet that affects the wearer with negative emotions, making one of the group break away then rejoin when the lead character is in big trouble. The amulet can't be destroyed by normal means, you have to go on a quest (through many different types of terrain) to find the thing that will destroy it.

got deja-vu watching that bit.

Rowling's sampled a bit of everything, just read the books and it is obvious, love them still regardless.
Same here.
I wonder if the same folks that love Harry Potter listen to Justin Bieber?
What gave you that idea? Please find out what did and end its existence.

may be stating the obvious here, but the reformed ministry of magic in this film seems strikingly similar to nazi Germany. the guards even looked like SS troops.

great film, though

Well a rumor going around, there making a 9th Harry Potter after Deathly Hollows part 2. I heard J.K. Rowling is making another book. In Harrys married, more older life. Eather way I don't think the Harry Potter series ends after part 2. After all Rowling is one of the most wealthiest writers. With her millions of fans begging for another Harry Potter book. Plus I love the Harry Potters series, life just won't seem right with out it.

The world is ending in 2012 anyways so it doesn't really matter.

The first Harry Potter books came out well over a decade ago- a good portion of us in the late teens/early twenties pretty much learned to read (or at least learned to enjoy reading) from them. On top of everything else, there's a nostalgia aspect to the series.
I went and saw the newest film at the request of a few of my friends a couple of days ago, I thought it was very good.

I think I've mentioned this before but before Squid could read she read the first two books to him then I took over on the third.  After that he could read for his self.  But I think reading the books to and at the same time as him and having a mutual interest as he grew made he and I unusually close in this day and age.  I paid for him and two of his friends to go with us Friday.  We had a good time.

No it can't end until I've seen "Avengers", "The Hobbit", "Star Trek 2", "The Dark Knight Rises", and the new "Spider-Man" movie.
