As this is a civilian provided internet, all the people working there are civilians.  It is unfortunate.  I could have some fun if they were Soldiers.

On the 100% packet loss, that is not typical when the net is up and running like it should.  I will get 10% maximum on the days it works.  The real amazing thing is, when the net is working I will have a maximum ping of about 270 ms.  It is incredible to me I can get such a low ping from here.  I have to give the company props for that.  All I want them to do is fix the reliability factor.

I have to give credit to Sniper hill, they finally figured out their LOS radio from where I live to them was out of alignment and is now fixed.  Current ping average to AH server .40 is 250 ms.  That I am most happy about !  WOOT, I can fly again.

I will never complain again! Thanks to my ISP who listens to what I say and looks at the pingplotter files I send them.

Hey dood, when I was over there 4 months ago. My net was like that the entire year, yay for satelite. Only game I can recommend to you is Day of defeat, that game is playable w/ 700-1000 ping. GL and be safe.

Yeah I remember those days with the 700-1000 ms pings.  That was last tour and a quarter of this one.  They went to fiber here and seems to really cut down on the latency.  I was still able to play with 700-1000 ms and actually lag that bad helped improve my game play some.  It forced me to predict what the other guy was going to do.

(Image removed from quote.)

This is what my internet looks like over here.  I have talked to the ISP until I am blue in the face but they do not listen.  It is very frustrating to be told it is routing issues in Iraq and Turkey when I show them the 1000 ms + pings to their gateway.  This is what my 88 Dollars a month is paying for.  This is why I have a hard time not warping or discoing.  This is why I am so mad at this ISP.  Not like I have a choice in the matter.  So this is the end of my whine.

*Edit:  The graph at the bottom is over a 12 hour period.  Sometime around 0700 I lost connection completely long enough to reset my IP.

They do know you have access to high explosives and been trained to kill with a plastic spoon right?  Maybe worth mentioning  :rofl
