Looking for new Vid Card
« on: December 07, 2010, 10:34:54 PM »
Soon ill be looking for a new video card and possibly a mother board.

I had an issue with my current card recently and found the company out of business and unwilling to exchange it for a new card so now I'm back in the market.

looking for a card in the ballpark of +/- $200, willing to spend maybe 3-400 with card and motherboard.

The setup i have i have had and been replacing since i got it 6 years ago. Motherboard is 6 years old, just replaced the memory sticks because they finally went bad. Graphics card was fairly new 6 months ago, Nvidia 275 GTX, 1 TB HD, 1000watt power supply. Intel dual core processor.

Opinions on what to buy in that price range to play AH for now and future playability?

Thanks

TT

what dual core do you have TT? your specs look okay and that GTX275 should play the game pretty well already.
also, didnt your memory have lifetime warranty(almost all mfr's do have that.) are you looking to upgrade to max out settings ingame?
nV has come out with a pretty decent GTX570 lately(in your price range $350ish);
ATi also has a pretty good affordable card also, HD6870 at $250, and can max out all ingame settings (except max shadows).
