I've seen so many threads for posting hunting stories, and seeing how I'm too young to legally own and operate a firearm, I've decided to post one of my other escapades:
It was a lazy summer afternoon, and I had just come home from the pool with my friend. We heard that familiar distant jingle and set off after it- but to no avail. However, we'd forgotten to bring money, making an otherwise crushing defeat slightly less bitter. After coming home, we jumped on our bikes and did a sweep of the area, but still nothing appeared except that inferal song.
Eventually, I came up with the bright idea of using walkie-talkie's and setting up a Taliban style ambush. After we'd located the truck, we figured out where it would be in the next few minutes. A quick bike ride and dismount allowed us to lie hidden in wait for our mark.
As the convoy approached the ambush- I shouted "GO GO GO!" and we leapt from the bushes, taking the driver by surprise. As he swerved to a stop, we pulled out our cash and boxed in the offending vehicle. After obtaining a sample of the cargo, we let it proceed, on the basis of continued operations in the area.
Now that, my friends, is a true stalking hunt.
Thus I pose the question to you, who among you have ever hunted the ice-cream truck- and how did it end? Did you chase it down, or did you use an ambush? Plans for future hunts are also welcome.
