I think HiTech said someone that he does not like the idea of a "perk economy".

I am not saying this is a bad idea, but personally I would much rather get rewards points in the form of money back than perks.

I doubt HTC would want to do this.  The size of their business does not make it ideal to go off on a venture like this.  The cost to start up a program like this is probably to much capital for HTC to lay out and in these hard times I am sure they would not want to do it.  There are a lot of hidden costs we as the card user do not see that the issuing agency has to fund.

Buying perks, instead of fighting for em?   No thank you.

Honestly I like the idea.  So much so that I'm considering 'customizing' my current card now :)

I wonder if HT would approve the use of the logo for such a purpose.

Thats my next request Dicho...  Since you did such a nice job on my Avatar can you design me a credit card?  My capital one card allows me to put any image i want on it!  Keep it the grumpy theme though, maybe add a 109 with him popping out of the cockpit or something.....

I'd like some frequent flyer miles while you're at it.  :D

You can get them, but they can only be redeemed flying space available in a C-47.

After messing with this idea for a couple of days off and on it's almost ridiculously easy to make an image to submit to your credit card company if you like.

Standard size is 3.125" wide by 2.125" tall.  Open your photo editing software and make a template with the aforementioned dimensions.

Open the pic you want and resize it as close as you can to these dimensions.  Note that from the AH viewer it's much easier to get medium distance shots to show up right and much better if the sun is positioned behind you if your pov is holding the camera and facing your shot.

Make a new layer on your original template, go to the image you want, copy it, and paste it into your template.

A little light editing is all it takes after that.

I made this one tonight in 15 minutes.  And yes if you like it feel free to grab it.  Anything and everything I post on these boards is free for the personal use of anybody.  I don't do this stuff for any kind of profit.  I do it because it's fun.

Edit* go to the original link and get the full sized one.

I'm no photo editing whiz.  Those guys skin planes and do terrains.  So if I can do it anybody with a marginally functioning brain can do it as well.

Note: Most of the banks I looked at this week and the major card issuing institutions will take your template and put it on your card if you're a member in good standing (US I don't know about Euro).  They do make you dig a bit to find out how but it's not hard at all.

Best of luck and, if you want one made, I'll be happy to as time allows.  <S>

Credit Cards don't work this way...........Sorry Guy.
Hitech should work on a deal for Aces High Credit Card with a card issuing bank. They could increase revenue by getting a percentage of the amounts charged on the card.

Merchandise?
The incentive for players to get the card would be perk points for every dollar spent. One perk point per dollar for all purchases and three perk points per dollar for all Aces High purchases such as subscription fees and merchandise.

The rich getting richer kind of thing?
A final direct revenue stream would be to allow cardholders to directly purchase perk planes in game at the rate of 2 dollars per perk point.
See Rule #4
Now I only pay because of my friends.

Sorry, but this is a bit absurd of an idea. I seriously felt like I was dreaming as I read the posts progress.
