Strictly speaking installing an upgrade to a computer that does not have an existing license to upgrade from is not legit. Even if you pay for the upgrade and even if you can or could do it. You still violate the EULA.

Kind of 'half pirating' I guess :) Like gaming the game.

For the record, I have legit versions (separately purchased) of Vista on each comp, so piracy is not an issue, not sure why it even came up  :furious

I ordered the 3-pack and should have it Tuesday. 


I figure my daughters comp is going to need to be gutted and upgraded in the near future so the 3-pack is perfect.  Thanks for the suggestion.

This will allow you to install the upgrade on 3 systems.
It gives you a 32bit and 64bit disk so you can choose which one to use.

USVI thanks I have a couple of builds I have been asked to do and tiger is cheaper by 20 and shipping on OS than microsoft website.
