This is the FASTEST System (actually two of them at same time) I have built to date.

Specs:
Case:               NZXT Phantom (White)
MB:                 EVGA X58 Classified 3
CPU:                Intel i7 950 (no OC yet)
HSF:               Prolimatech Megahalems Rev. B  NB Silent Fans x2
Mem:              12GB Corsair Dominator 1866Mhz  2GB x 6
Mem Cooler:    Dominator Fan
GPU:              XFX 5970 (Dual GPU)
PSU:              NZXT HALE90 1000watt
SSD:              OCZ RevoDRIVE-2 240GB
HD:                Western Digital 1TB 64mb Cache 6GB/s SATA-3
DVD:              Samsung DVD combo drive with Lightscribe
Cooling:          2 x 200mm  3 x 120mm  1 x 140mm
Mods:            Sleeved all power cables

I was curious how fast the RevoDrive-2 was so I compared it to the storage drive... yikes this thing is blazingly fast.  As soon as you "click" its there.  Did I mention Windows 7 Professional installed in about 8 mins.  I was told it would boot to desktop in about 15 seconds.  But since I am using a SATA 3 drive also, the Marvell controller slows things down, takes about 22 seconds.

In what way were the cables modified? Do you mean split and then twisted?

They are single sleeved.  Bought one for each system from NZXT and did the others myself.  LOOK CLOSELY they are single sleeved not grouped together.

Okay.

When I get a J.O.B. I think I will build a new system with that case before I return to AH.

So would this be the most, well, modern build you've done? I'm looking to get back in (it's been awhile) and I must build anew and your specs look pretty righteous though I've yet to do more than cursory research on the newer stuff. (1200 watt PS? Gawd, I'm old)
