Turkey Fryer Suggestions
« on: December 10, 2010, 09:00:18 AM »
During Thanksgiving my dad kinda threw out there that he would like a turkey fryer for Christmas.  I have never really messed with one except once and I have no idea what brand, size, etc. it was.  I know quite a few people here have fried turkeys and possibly own their own fryer so I figured I'd throw this out to see if anyone had any suggestions on a good one to buy him.  It probably won't be used but once maybe twice a year just like the pressure washer we bought last year that he just had to have to was his new boat, but oh well if the old man wants it I'm going to make sure he gets it.

Thanks fellas.

i won mine as a door prize at sears, they normally sell for around 50 to 60 dollars, deep fried Turkeys are the Bomb, i can cook a 13 lbr in under 45 mins, the skin is crispy and the meat is juicy and tender, i also use my fryer for cut-up chicken and my secert coating oh man better than KFC in its hayday, you can also use it for, boling Crab, corn on the cob, clams, Crayfish for a real good southern boiled dinner, i use mine alot and once you find out all the things you can do with them besides deep frying a turkey you'll be using it alot
