I really like the idea, I do wonder what HiTech's opinion on the current radar system is and if he'd be willing to change it.

Havent read through all the posts, but I like the idea!  Fantastic idea! I think this game is seriously stagnant and needs much work. So here is what I found!  The radar stations should be mobile. They should be somehow restricted so that they cannot be deployed in hordes and should be more realistic in their function. They should also be detectable in whatever manner they could be located during the war so that a new facet of the game would be more like a job to find and destroy them.

Fear? You bet your life...but that all leaves you as you reach combat. Then there's a sense of great excitement, a thrill you can't duplicate anywhere...it's actually fun. Yes, I think it is the most exciting fun in the world. — Lt. Col. Robert B. "Westy" Westbrook, USAAF 6/<--lol@mod

I would just like it if the terrain masked the radar.  TT has great mountains which surround the central V Bases.  It would be cool to use those as flight corridors that were masked from base radars because of terrain.

+1, would encourage the use of better tactics before rushing in with a horde of 50 planes.

Shouldn't we assume that since he did just change it that it was his intent to have it the way it is?

Perhaps.  But I suppose it's also possible that no one had brought up an alternative idea to the current radar system, and being as busy as they are working on other things, they might not have thought of another idea.
