Doesn't Australia also have some pretty restrictive firearm laws?
T
Not for service men and women or vets
but if you are a civilian get busted with a weapon from the 'prohibited list' and you have no gun safe to put them in and you have no exemption from cheif commisioner of Victorian police (this is for Victoria)
your looking at about 5 years in the slammer and a 24.5k fine on top of that (thats the maximum penalty)
also in Victoria, if you get the exemption, the police can come do random checks on the weapons to see if they are properly secured and you can not denie them into your home
but Victoria's weapons laws are very very tight (strictest in the country)
but in other states to my knowledge the laws are pretty reasonable, I'm not entirly sure about the laws there though due to i'm from Victoria, If you haven't caught on yet
