it makes perfect sense that they got harder to take when changed. people were used to doing it a certain way. that way doesn't work now, and they need more cooperation with each other.
even with the massive hordes, the town is still hard to take. mistakes are made, there's more buildings, etc. itd be hard even if people knew the perfect way to take the town out
