Repost : Skuzzy, HTC please help, blue flicker/other bug

Yep, my problems continue but I'm finally getting nearer to the cure.
Okay, my problem started with the installation of the KT7, Asus V7700 GeForce 64Mb GTS, 1 gig Tbird, 256 RAM and 330watt PSU. At first I used the Asus 5.33 drivers but found them not to be as good as the Detonator drivers. I then used Detonator drivers 6.67 before going down to 6.50 drivers. I'm using Dx 7.0a.

Anyway, what my problem is this. When using the detonator drivers I get the blue flicker strobe screen whilst playing Aces High. Okay, we know all about that. When I load the GeForce Tweak Utility or Nvidia NVmax I manage to eliminate the blue flicker BUT this utilities cause my added problems whilst playing Aces High. I think it might have something to do with the force antialiasing - if you enable it the blue flicker goes but you get the problem I'll describe in a moment. When disabling it has no effect whatsoever and you have to uninstall the utility and registry entry and then uninstall the drivers and then reinstall the drivers - every time!

Okay, the new problem is whilst in the cockpit in AH. I always use the F8 pan mode (I am unable to use the F7 or F9 modes much as it effects a balance condition I have). Whilst in F8 pan you get a kind of scroll/roll effect which appears mostly behind the high speed rotating propeller effect. I can't actually do a screenshot (it comes out normal) so 'I've made a screenshot up' (edited) to kind of explain what I am seeing when I pan from side to side. Please note that vertical pans are fine, only horizontal pans whilst in cockpit and mostly behind props

The image above shows what it appears like, but it is scrolling very fast and doesn't look as bad as it seems but it is EXTREMELY annoying and very off putting whilst trying to engage any enemy. After X amount of playing it starts to make you feel ill. So, my problem is putting up with this or the blue flicker effect which I find worse.

I would really appreciate if anyone can recommend another tweak, or adjustment or anything that can eliminate both problems without it causing too much of a frame rate hit - I can eliminate both by selecting force antialiasing and a 3x3 setting in DX but it knocks FPS down to around 15-20 and blurs graphics so much that it gives you a headache.

I've followed all the KT7 FAQ helps.....

Hope someone can help..... I've hardly played AH over the last month.

BTW, all those that have had the blue flicker, try using F8 Pan whilst in the cockpit (moving side to side) and see if you get the same effect as I am experiencing?

Regards

Oh, another thing... I seem to be getting total lockups now - literally have to switch off and back on. ONLINE only.

I get the light blue flicker if I install any video drivers newer than what came with my video card.

CPU:
Athlon 700 Classic

Motherboard:
Abit KA7

Video Card:
WinFast GeForce2 GTS w/32Mb

Sound Card:
SoundBlaster Live! Platinum 5.1

I'll check driver versions when I get a chance.

Karnak, let me know what you're using when you find out.

I think my lockup problem is associated with Roger Wilco - total lockup.  This is something that never happened before so it might be a driver problem.  The detonator 6.50 drivers are giving me around 45-85 fps now and up to 120 at V bases?!?!  Still got the shimmering/scrolling problem as described above.  I might have to try the Asus drivers again.  Anyone got a good link for the latest ones? (Asus V7700 Geforce 64 GTS).

Cheers
