computer gaming in 3d on a 240hz led/lcd 3d tv
« on: December 17, 2010, 01:20:07 PM »
The new samsung tvs (looking at a UN40C7000) can convert 2d programming to 3d.
Has anyone tried a 2d computer game converted to 3d on one of these yet?

Why would you want to convert a 2D computer game to 3D? Just play 3D games like AH2.

You're confusing the mechanics of how the images are computed with the methods the finished images are seen by the viewer.

Think of 3D glasses, images hovering in air. That's what he means.

Although, what rules and code they use to artificially impart 3D depth to an already-flat image...? Hell if I know!

Lol no he said 2D computer game converted to 3D, not viewing a 3D game through 3D vision. Was just messing with him.

Nah my father is known. I hope. At least I was at his funeral today.
