Oh come on now Uptown this is one of the few men I had a chance to see in person at a dinner with my parents at Ramstine AFB back in the early 60's. I have to tell you I was impressed then being young and all. He told a short story of one the first planes he ever shot down, that being his squadron commander. Was a long time ago I can't remember how it happened but he laughed a bit when he told it.
