Tech support win clients
« on: April 24, 2001, 02:02:00 PM »
Ok techies,  I have a 486DX100 running linux connected to the internet through a 16550 port with a 56K modem, running a hardware firewall.  I have a AMD 1 gig as a client which has full, no prob, internet access through the firewall hardware, with any of the oses on it (win98eng v2, OS/2 Warp 4, Caldera linux, and win2Kpro).  My wife wants me to connect her machine to the internet, (AMD 350 over clocked to 4 something running 98 se and OS/2) so we can both be on the net at the same time.
The question is this has anyone had/have real info on the ezlinkusb client/internet sharing hardware/software.  The ads on the ezlink site look good but I would like to know how they work in real life.  Due to overload her machine does not have a free IRQ to put a nic card on. But it does have a free usb port.
Any other solutions would be welcome also.
TIA
