Hi folks,
I have a bunch of maps from my squaddies that they have compiled over the past year that do a really good job of detailing the targets on the ground.
What I am having an issue with is the airfield orientations within the various maps. I will use a small field as an example:
The runway orientation in the clipboard is SouthWest to Northeast with the lone fighter hangar on the very south of the field.
However, In the game It appears (I may be missing something) that the fields are not oriented like the clipboard map (I am using North Up in the Clipboard maps for reference in this discussion).
Is there a logical way that the fields are oriented within the different "world maps" or is it just based upon the base and terrain within that map?
If the field orientations are based solely on the map being flown, does anyone have a large world map that details the main runway headings? I would love to be able to know this prior to making an attack run on a base in either a bomber or attack aircraft.
Finally, I used to have maps of the different worlds on the old PC but for the life of me I cannot find them. I like printing them off in large scale and hanging them on the wall in the room.
Appreciate any assistance!
