Once again saitek x-36 I redid everything flushed my sys clean of anyting Saitek followed install directions per saitekhelp.com. Redid the install 2.3 only and when I go thru the profile activator if I leave it set as default I get a nice C:\windows\explorer.exe failure. This has never happened before and it hoses my sys each time, I can't even load a custom profile. So right now I have a joystick which has 3 functioning buttons any help or advice is warranted.

Cav's right , u should go there for more help . One thing you havn't told me enough to help you .

Do u have IE 5.5 or higher ? U have to have the auto Configure on the task bar set to on , box checked .

Do you leave the rotaries centered , maybe u should take off any SGE assignments off those till you figure out whats wrong , set them to analog .

Next do you have the Aux. 1 slider all the way back ?

You should have all buttons but 3 I think even if you delete SGE after you get the setup working . The ones that don't work are greyed out in control panel for stick .

I think some have problems with motherboard conflicks . Ron's the man , www.saitekhelp.com

Sending it back I didn't buy a joystick to sit and mess with it all the time. I cannot believe how toejamty this setup or all the bugs are with it.
I am running IE-5.5 ah hell it doesn't matter shelving flight sims for a bit I think. Thanks though Spro

Posted the info this morning no response, this is a screen shot of what happens when you try and do the new game wizard, if you try import well it just won't show up.

Have you tried to reinstall IE, maybe it is messed up? Why are you using SGE 2.3, why not SGE 3.0? Get DirectX8 and use SGE 3.0.

If you are using SGE 2.3 from the CD, that could be the problem as I vaguely remember something like that happening to me a year or so ago. Download SGE 2.3 and see if that makes a difference.

I haven't had any problems with SGE 3.0!! Works great

Aye trust me I have downloaded and used them all. I thought at first it might be IE6 so I uninstalled it. WIll try a total wipe of IE later on.
